Expanded polystyrene brick, this insulation inspired us to use the same principle, but on a slightly larger scale. The idea is to prevent warming up the rooms by sunlight on the outside wall also to keep out the cold from outside during the cold period in Thailand. Together with a light color on the outer wall, the influence of heat over the brick outer wall is minimized.
Our outside wall is an ordinary brick, on the inside we have projected polystyrene plates of 1.5 inch (4 cm) thick, the polystyrene plates will later be coverd and packed by a board made from strong material for a nice looking inside wall.

Polystyrene plate is a light weight material and because of the big size very easy and quick to install.
With a handsaw, cutting the panels is easy and trimming is a breeze.
Now that the outer walls have been insulated, the next step is to ventilate and cool the rooms with fresh outside air.
