In Thai culture, traditions and rituals, Nagas are considered the protectors of water a symbol of water and it serves as the guardian of Buddhism. Rivers are often compared to nagas because of their winding course.

Sometimes we see her in the pool busy trying to find something to eat.
Here she goes to the roof to shed her skin and leave the old skin behind - snakes shed their skin because it no longer fits. Shedding the skin also helps remove parasites.
Our naga leaves its shed skin behind, visible for us hanging from the roof. This snake loves our roof very much and another cleaning job is waiting for us.
After she sheds her skin we ask a friend to catch the snake and show her the way out returning to her to the natural environment.
